happiest little cowboy… houston baby photographer

Last week I drove up to Austin to photograph probably the happiest 9 month old I’ve ever met. When I found out that his family owned the Rio Bonito, a gorgeous resort in Wimberly Texas, I was beyond excited! They had animals and gorgeous scenery and  the early morning light was to die for. To top it off, Carter was so easy going and I don’t think he quit smiling the entire time. We started off shooting by the Blanco river, which runs right through the property, then had some time with Beautiful (the resident pony) by the end of the session we had made quite the mess so Carter got his first outside bath! Another part about this session that I think made it so wonderful was that Carter’s Mom was really into helping me plan out all the details all the way from what he wore to the activities and props that we used. While I love to stylize sessions, I can’t do it without the awesome parents that I work with helping with little details. It’s the little details that helps to unify the session!

I had a great time M family and I cannot wait to come back and stay a few nights at the resort this fall (you known I’m going to and I might not ever leave)! Here’s a sneak peak…
