When Lee emailed me and said she would be coming in town from Colorado and asked if I could squeeze in a family session for her while she was in town I was excited – I had to make sure that I could pull it off since it was short notice… but I love shooting at the beach. It’s easily one of my favorite places to hang out, let alone work. I was able to figure out a place to stay and called Lee back to tell her the good news. Once my family and I arrived in Galveston, we spent a couple hours scouring the beaches for the perfect location… I found one on the exact opposite of the Island from where we were staying… but that was fine by me as this place was GORGEOUS. When the morning came for their session we had fog and not your typical fog… but the can’t see two inches in front of you kind of fog. We were delayed just a bit, but once it started to lift if provided the softest light as well as some dramatic shots. I’m just so thrilled that everything worked out, Lee, her brother and his family and her mom were so wonderful to work with and so much fun. I have this great sneak peak and next week I’m going to do one more featuring our new friend “Tilapia” a baby lobster… so much fun!
