Bluebonnet Mini Sessions… Houston and Austin Photographer

It’s time!!!! The bluebonnets will be here soon and I have made arrangements to shoot at THE most beautiful location. It is between Houston and Austin Texas, so if you are in Houston or Austin you can join us! This year we will be photographing on March 27th at the Belle of Roundtop…

Here is a picture (sent to me by the owner of the Belle, Deb) of the location…

There will be six mini sessions and the possibility to have one full session on March 28th with sunrise. I was lucky enough to go to the Belle a couple years ago for a photography workshop with the Amazing Barb Uil and I have been dying to go back to do bluebonnet photos here. So, I know it’s a drive and I know that it’s mid week… but it’s soooooo going to be worth it! If you are interested in snagging up a session, let me know. Last year my sessions were sold out with 24 hours of posting. This year will not disappoint and I have lots of awesome plans up my sleeves for these! Come join us!

They are expecting another baby girl soon, in fact she may have even already made her appearance! These were from their mini maternity session a couple weeks ago… and their daughter is such a cutie! I had a great time S family and I can’t wait until I get to meet your other daughter too!

Hope Floats… houston maternity photographer

I was watching the movie hope floats the other night, I must be getting sappy in my old age, but I remember one of the last lines in the movie…

“Beginnings are usually scary, endings are usually sad, but it’s what’s in the middle that counts. So when you find yourself at the beginning, just give hope a chance to float up. And it will.”

I think this little quote can go along with so many different situations, but I always think of it for first time mamas. I remember my first pregnancy and how excited, and yet terrified I was that I was going to have a baby. Now that baby is 5 years old and we are in the middle and everything is wonderful. Kids have a way of making life so much better!

That said, these parents to be that I met and photographed last week were so sweet and kind and definitely ready for baby. They were nothing like me when I was expecting! hehe! You can tell they are going to be wonderful parents and their little girl is going to be so very loved. It was so nice meeting you both and I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Another year is almost over… Houston family and child photographer

I really cannot believe that we are only a few short days from Christmas and starting a new year. 2012 has been full of growth, love, challenges, creativity, new adventures and some pretty amazing clients. I’ve been very blessed to spend the last year photographing some of Houston’s most lovely families and their children. For this, I am incredibly thankful. I started out thinking I would post this blog as a top 12 of 2012, but I started going through the last 52 weeks worth of images and I could not narrow it down, no matter how hard I tried! Sooooo… instead of doing that, I thought maybe I would just do a little recap from all the sessions I had this year with my lovely clients. Your trust in me to capture your family and memories has been a wonderful honor and I’m so blessed to call you my clients/friends/and now some are even like family. Thank you for a fabulous 2012 and I wish you all joy and happiness this Holiday Season, may you be surrounded by your families and much love! I look forward to an even better (if that’s possible) 2013! xoxo

Waiting on a big surprise… houston family photographer

This lovely family is due any day now to meet their new baby, and it’s going to be a surprise! They don’t know just yet if baby is going to be a girl or a boy and I can’t wait to find out! I always admire families that can leave the reveal until the big day, I am way too much of a planner and could never wait to find out… hehe! It was so nice meeting you all O family and I can’t wait to hear if you welcomed a sweet baby girl or boy!

When this beautiful mama-to-be contacted me for her maternity and newborn photos, I was really excited and honored. She is a photographer as well is on Clickin Moms too (which I highly recommend if you are wanting to learn more about your dSLR) so I was totally flattered when she chose me to help her document her pregnancy and her sweet baby girls arrival later this fall. I had such a great time C family and I can’t wait to see you and meet your baby girl in a couple months!

I decided to offer a few sessions in Galveston in September. One session is already booked, but I do have one full session and two mini sessions still available. Since I don’t traditionally offer mini sessions during the fall this might be a fun way to get one and still have photos for Holiday cards!

Anticipation… Houston Maternity Photographer

This session was so much fun!! When K and her husband J met with me for their pre-session consult they mentioned that they loved to go out to the country and just hang out and enjoy each other’s company, I knew what we would be doing for their session. We planned a nice romantic day out in the country for this fun and out going couple to help document their lives before their baby arrives next month. They aren’t sure yet what baby B is going to be (boy or girl)… I’m totally impressed with their ability to not find out, that was always the first thing I wanted to know when I was pregnant! I had such a wonderful time at this session and can’t wait to see if baby B is a boy or a girl… Stay tuned for his/her session next month to see, in the meantime, enjoy the sneak peek!
